How we recruit

We have robust recruitment and selection policy & procedures in place. Not only does this policy ensure that we have enough staff cover to run an effective service but guarantees that we have appropriately and suitably qualified staff with relevant experience who are competently matched to roles to ensure that the services we provide are safe, caring, responsive and well-led.

Our potential members of staff are diligently screened and checked regularly for up to date mandatory training and registration with key organisations. Our promise to you is a service provided with honesty and integrity to the best of our ability, adhering and upholding the standards of key professional bodies and the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Compliance with legislation and ethics is our top priority but we go beyond that and embrace respect, goodwill and good practices.

Training and Development

Complementary to the Recruitment policy, we have a dedicated budget, which supports the effective implementation of our Staff Induction, Training and Development Policy. All our staff goes through the induction training before they are deployed to work with service users. This induction gives them an appreciation of management, roles and organisation of the organisation, our Behavioural Framework, Effective Communication, Professional Conduct, Essentials of Confidentiality and Roles (working in different capacities with service users).

Part of the induction will take staff through some mandatory training such as Safeguarding, Child and Sexual Exploitation, First Aid, Fire Safety, COSHH, Equality& Diversity, Food Safety and Infection Control, Challenging Behaviour and Health & Safety. Our staff will also be supported to attain a Level 3 Health Care Certificate if they do not already have it.

On-going training and development, as well as refresher courses, will be made available to all our staff either as part of mandatory or partial fulfillment of upskilling and human resource career development in line with our Training and Development Strategy.

Every member of our staff receives monthly supervision as well as an annual appraisal.
